In The Bold and the Beautiful, Liam Spencer is determined to reconcile with Steffy Forrester.

However, a significant obstacle stands in his way: Steffy’s unwavering commitment to her husband, John “Finn” Finnegan, who is resolute in keeping Liam from disrupting their marriage.

Of course, that marriage isn’t as secure as it seems since Steffy is keeping secrets from Finn, who doesn’t know about the stolen kisses or about Liam’s latest plea to win her back.

Think about if the situation were reversed and Finn was the one hiding lip locks with an ex or smiling after his former flame says their story isn’t over.

That certainly wouldn’t fly with Steffy – and The Bold and the Beautiful fans wouldn’t let Finn get away with that either!

However, there’s an interesting opportunity to level the playing field here.

Since Liam seems to be on the verge of showing off his scheming side, what kind of plot might he resort to?

At some point, Liam might realize Sheila Carter won’t be a big enough obstacle to tear Steffy and Finn apart.

Steffy refuses to let manipulative Sheila destroy her marriage, but maybe someone else could step up to destroy it instead.

Liam might determine that another interloper is needed – someone from Finn’s past who could catch his eye again or at least make Steffy doubt his loyalty.

Perhaps Liam’s waffling mind will decide that Finn will waffle too if he brings the doc’s ex-girlfriend to town.

Finn has assured Steffy that he’s never met anyone like her and that his life changed for the better when she walked into it.

That doesn’t mean that Finn never dated anyone before Steffy at all.

There’s surely someone in Finn’s history who could be lured to Los Angeles.

Finn’s ex might even have some friendly or professional connection to Luna Nozawa since Li Finnegan seems so convinced her niece will ruin Finn’s happiness.

Whatever the case, everything could change if Finn’s former flame shows up in LA.

Liam might find a way to set that in motion and hope that he can pick up the pieces after Steffy’s marriage crumbles!
