In The Young and the Restless spoilers, Diane Jenkins-Abbott’s allegiance to Kyle Abbott might strain her marriage with Jack Abbott.
Despite her love for Jack, Kyle takes precedence, setting the stage for potential complications in her evolving storyline.
After hearing Kyle’s confession about almost betraying the Abbotts and playing for Tucker McCall’s team, Diane made a shocking suggestion.
Diane urged Kyle not to tell Jack the truth and play it off like his plan has always been to be a mole.
As far as Diane’s concerned, Kyle can be the hero who brings Jack details on Tucker’s takeover scheme and helps thwart it.
Diane will remain hopeful about Kyle proving his worth and scoring the co-CEO position back from Billy Abbott.
Of course, there are plenty of ways for Diane’s plan to backfire.
That’s particularly true since Tucker anticipates that Kyle will come back to him as a mole for Jabot – leaving the door open for Tucker to feed Kyle bogus information.
It might even leave Jack wondering if Kyle’s still truly on Tucker’s side when all this blows up.
What happens when Jack finds out Diane deceived him and encouraged Kyle to do the same?
The fact that Diane’s keeping secrets again may leave Jack fuming.
Jack may also rip into Diane for sending Kyle back into a situation that was risky – both for Kyle personally and for all the Abbotts professionally.
Diane may take a mess and make it messier, so this could cause some marriage issues.
Jack and Diane’s relationship has been swimming along just fine since they tied the knot, but the honeymoon may officially be over soon!
That said, Jack is awfully smitten with Diane and adores their life together, so it’s tough to believe something like this would be a deal-breaker.
Although Jack may let his fury erupt, this seems like something that Diane can ultimately get forgiveness for after some groveling.
